Why they? How about all those Palestinians?
The need and justification of a "Jewish homeland" has been repeated so often and so insistently that people all over the world have come to accept it as an inevitability. Even many good people in the U.S. and even our president, a well-intentioned man, advocates a "Jewish homeland," at the end of the so-called "road map" for peace.
What are the facts?
An unwarranted request, that has come to pass. There really is no such thing as a "Jewish People." That is a concept that, by the drum beat of incessant propaganda, has been foisted on the world. The so-called Jews of the state called Israel, are the same Jews that live in America, Russia, Poland, and throughout Western and Eastern Europe. They are associated primarily by their religion, nothing else. Never at any time in history did these "Jews" have a homeland. It wasn't until after WWII, that the Western European nations wanted to rid themselves of the Jewish mind set, that plans were laid to provide a place for them away from Europe.
In 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted to set up both a Jewish and an Arab (Palestinian) state within the borders of the Palestinian territories. The Arabs were allotted three contiguous areas and the enclave of the city of Jaffa. The Jews were allotted three discontiguous areas. Jerusalem was to be an international city. In order to get a part of Palestine as their homeland, the Jews reluctantly accepted the deal. The Arabs rejected it out of hand not wanting to part their ancient lands and instead invaded the nascent Jewish state with the armies of six Arab nations. The organized Jewish forces using weapons given them by the United States and UN, defeated the rag tag Arab armies trying to defend their ancient lands, and stayed in control of most of the area. Egypt retained control of the Gaza Strip, and Jordan occupied Judea/Samaria (the "West Bank"). Had the Jews accepted the United Nations partition plan, they would have had their "Jewish homeland" for almost 60 years. Yet, the Jews spurned the opportunity to acquire more land than the United Nations granted to them (which was not really within the UN authority to do) simply when it was available by the use of arms and military power. It wasn't until after the Six-Day War in 1967, when the Jews attacked the Arab States, that the majority of the Palestinian territories come under to Jewish military control.
Although the Palestinians would be glad to get rid of those bothersome and rebellious Jews, it is regrettably not that simple. The declared goal of the Jews, a goal never rescinded, is the complete destruction of the Palestinian people. Their intent is to geographically and strategically dominate most all of Palestine, and it's Arab people. Within a very short time of 50 years, mostly with US help, this Jewish controlled state has become bristling with the most advanced weaponry, including weapons of mass destruction given to them by the US. Jewish armies will likely be invited to participate in what they would hope to be the final onslaught against the Palestinian and against all the Middle East Arab people.
The quest for an independent homeland for the Jews is unwarranted because the Jews are not a distinct people. Jews never had a so-called homeland, and the creation of such a homeland became an existential threat to all Palestinian people. Both the world and especially the Europeans don’t really care about self-determination – they don’t lose any sleep over the Basques, the Kurds, the Tibetans or others like the Palestinians, who yearn for a secure homeland. They care about their own political and economic interests, which they cloak in the language of political morality. And of course, there are quite a few who wouldn’t shed a tear if, at the end of the day, the Palestinians were indeed wiped from the face of the earth.
The truth is, that Jews are a amalgamated people group, mostly held together by a religious belief, which is loosly based on their interpretations of the Old Testament Scriptures. Jews have no relationship to the Yahudim people of Scripture. The word Jew has by miss-interpretation in English Bibles replaced the original word Yahudi in many English Bibles. However, a Jew is simply a follower of Jewism, as a Christian is a follower of Christianity. Race or ethnic roots are not involved as to who is a Christian, or as to who is, or is not a Jew. However, a True Yahudi was a descendant of Yahudah, one of the 12 sons of Ya'aqob/Yisrael. A Jew is not a relative of a Biblical Yahudi. The word Jew does not contain the Name (first three letters) of the Name of YHWH, (called the tri-grammaton), or the abbreviated form of Yahweh's name, which is contained in the name of the 4th son of Ya'aqob, Gen. 29:35.
Present day Jew-ism was formally formed into its basic cultic (ritualistic) worship form about 1,000 years ago, (according to Jewish history), when - Rabbenu Gershon a Khazar/Jew of Mainz, Germany, published a ban on Jewish bigamy. This date marks the recorded beginning of the Ashkenazi Jewish Sect and their ranco-German halachic creativity (loose interpretation of Old Testament Laws). Gershon thereby established the beginning of the modern cultic religion of Jewism. The religion of Jewism is also greatly influenced by the Mystic Babylonian Talmud, an ancient Pagan ritualistic system of various extreme opinions, interpretations, codes, rules, and numerous fabricated regulations. Jewism as a Religion, has no relationship with, and is not at all similar to the Biblical Yisraelism, the worship system outlined for ancient True Yisrael of the Tanakh., and which formed the only Bible for Yahshua, the son of Yahweh, the Almighty Creator of all things.
Summary,
The name Yisrael means to strive, to overcome, then rule with El (short form of Elohim, 'Hebrew' meaning = Mighty One, Powerful. The name was given to Ya'aqob (Jacob) as a new name when he strove, overcame with El; see Gen. 32:28. Originally the name of the Nation that came from the 12 sons of Ya'aqob. However, after the division of the Kingdom of Yisrael, (about 930 BC), the name Yisrael came to refer only to the Northern Kingdom, while the Southern Kingdom was known as the Kingdom of Yahud. The term Yisrael can refer to the 12 tribes as a collective whole, or to the Northern 10 ½ tribes. After the exile into Assyria and during the Diaspora (scattering) of Yisraelites, i.e. after their migration North into Europe from Assyria, the Bible refers to Yisrael as the 'lost tribes.' The Nation known as Israel today, or the people (Israeli) who call themselves Jews, has nothing in common with the ancient Yisrael of the Bible, except for the historical territory that the Modern State of Israel is occupying. True Yisrael, as a people, remain dispersed among the nations of the globe, and is Biblically considered 'lost.' Yisrael has become a huge population that cannot be numbered, and will never again physically fit in the ancient "promised Land." This is a fulfillment of Yahweh's promise to Abraham in Gen. 14:1-3. However, the worldwide population of Jews is only about 13.5 million (according to Jewish sources).
The people occupying the present day land area called Israel, are, for the most, NOT comprised of Biblical Yisraelites (the descendants of Ya'aqob/Yisrael through Shem), but are mostly Ashkenazi Jews, a people of Khazar-Turkish descent through Noah's son Japheth, along with the Palestinians, the people descending from the ancient Philistines. In a unique historical twist, the name "Palestine" has become the familiar name for all the land that was at one time known as the "Holy Land."
The word Palestine is a derivative from the word Philistia, a derivative from the word Philistine(s). The Philistines were the true original inhabitants (i.e. Palestinians) of the land before the original conquest by the ancient Biblical Yisraelites.
